SHAG

Shag’s artwork is ubiquitous and his signature style is unmistakable. Over the span of his career he has created a huge body of work. So much so, that he set out to design, build, and open his own retail store on Palm Canyon Drive in the heart of the Design District, just north of downtown Palm Springs. He took the wraps off the store and held his grand opening during the city-wide art, architecture, and design celebration, Modernism Week. As part of his new store opening, he also wanted to revamp his website and asked us to help him develop something fresh. We distilled the site down to minimal functionality and let the bold colors and crisp flair of his artwork maintain the central focus at all times. The site’s clean and simple presentation is a perfect match for Shag’s high-contrast, sharp graphic style. (Site developed on the Squarespace platform.)
